Castle Work Motorsports specializes in custom CNC machined parts including air cleaners, radiator caps. In addition to these unique one of a kind items, I carry a full line of aftermarket performance parts, wheels and accessories.
Castle Works Motorsports grew out of my love of motorsports years ago. It started with my first car, my 1967 Firebird you see on these pages. This was my high school car…the one that started it all. It has been thru a lot of changes and taken me on many adventures over the years. In 1985 I drove this then green rusty car from Omaha, Nebraska to Lake Elkhart, Wisconsin to watch my first Trans Am and Indy car race at Road America. It was an awesome weekend all around, I slept in the car, saw some amazing racing, and was forever hooked. Road America is a beautiful place and holds a special place in my heart. I told myself some day I would race at this track…..little did I know it would be in the very same car that got me there. For several years I competed in local Solo II events (now called autocross) in Nebraska. In 2016 I competed in my first Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car event at the National Corvette Museum followed by Pikes Peak International Raceway and finally….Road America. It only took 31 years for me to realize my dream but it was worth the wait. In 2017 I officially started Castle Works Motorsports producing CNC machined parts and became a dealer for third party aftermarket part. I became a member of SEMA and attend the show every year. 2017 also saw the Firebird go thru some extreme and rapid changes, all done in my shop.…. changes that my friends say “snowballed” out of control…..and that is how the car got it’s nick name “Snowball” Snowball gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes, some love it, others not so much, but either way it gets noticed. In 2016 and 2018 it was highlighted in an episode of Optima Batteries Search for the Ultimate Street Car broadcast. In 2019 it was included in a children’s coloring book created by local photographer Ped Watt of Watt Design Photography. www.wattdesignphotography.com/ 2020 It was captured in the magazine “Killer Rides” while covering the Optima race at Atlanta Motorsports Park 2021 the car was chosen by Hot Wheels to compete for a chance to be the next Hot Wheels car. For the 2022 season, Snowball will be getting an upgraded engine in the form of a Pontiac 455 with Ram Air V heads. This will be a significant improvement in power and should make for some fun racing. |
